Romanelli Connecting Rod

Profile tubing (oval) connecting rod.

Compared to existing designs of I&H beams, a profile tubing (oval) connecting rod

is the ideal beam for a con/rod. It features an aerodynamic shape to cut down

friction in the engine. Because the tube is hollow, we can use thin wall, high modulus

Aermet 100 or 350 Maraging steel with a final weight equal to titanium.

With an increase in cycle life of 25 times that of titanium, we can use the same rod

for a full season of racing.

The added bonus is the gain in horsepower and reliability

due to the reduced friction, because of the aerodynamic shape.
